Philip Sahagun has earned a
reputation in US martial arts
circles for his dynamic stage
presence and style. Performing
regularly both locally and
overseas,
he has worked with and appeared for
numerous event’s hosted by the
likes of Pepsi Cola, Jackie Chan,
Tina Turner, Chinese Media
Groups: CCTV, Beijing TV,
Shenzhen TV
etc. and even The
famed birthplace of martial arts, Shaolin Temple. |

Philip began his martial arts training at the age of five. After 14
years of study he received his Black
Belt in American Kenpo and went on to
learn and develop his passion of Chinese
Martial Arts and weapons play. Since
then, he has become a 7-time National
Champion of the Open Martial Arts
Circuit and quickly progressed to
overseas travel for instruction and
competition… |

Recently he has begun to share his knowledge with a new generation
of athletes, developing National and
International level champions of his own
and creating various live action
productions to showcase their talents.
His work has garnered attention by such
notable groups such as Cirque de’
Soleil, who show a special interest in
the unique skills possessed by his high
level students. |

Currently he can be found training at
various locations throughout Southern
California as he pursues his goals
alongside other talented Martial Artists
such as the EMC Monkeys and The students
of SCMA. He is teaching out of
his family owned and operated school
"South Coast Martial Arts" Costa Mesa,
CA and continues to tour the world for
numerous projects and performances.
